Building a More Beautiful Brevard Contest

An annual contest which recognizes businesses for exceptional building/landscaping practices. Nominations come from the community at large in the categories listed below. A county-wide panel of expert judges volunteer to evaluate the nominees and determine the winners.

Building a More Beautiful Brevard Contest
The 2008 Building A More Beautiful Brevard Contest will be accepting nominations beginning August 22 for any local public or commercial properties that are outstanding in the beauty they have added to our community in the past year. Sponsored by the Florida Today newspaper and Keep Brevard Beautiful, the contest recognizes any nominated property beautified between June 2007 and June 2008, in the following categories:

New Structure (Commercial or Public Properties)
Major Renovation - Exterior Only (Commercial or Public Properties)
New Major Landscaping (Commercial or Public Properties)
Landscape Maintenance (Commercial or Public Properties)

Volunteer judges choose winners from the north, central and south sectors of Brevard County using guidelines based on design, plant selection, appropriate use of materials, and overall appearance. The general public may propose properties by completing forms available in the Florida Today newspaper or by downloading a nomination form.  Mail nominations to:  Keep Brevard Beautiful, 1620 Adamson Road, Cocoa, FL  32926, FAX to: 321-631-2840 or e-mail to Patbrown@yahoo.com. Deadline for submitting nominations is September 12, 2008.
