Beautification Programs

Xeriscape / Beautification Grants Program

A matching grants program (up to $2,000) for nonprofit organizations to promote environmentally friendly landscaping projects on public or public use land.

2008 - 2009 Xeriscape / Beautification Information

Applications for Xeriscape/Beautification Grants will be available September 1, 2008.
These grants are available to registered private nonprofit organization wanting to beautify public areas in Brevard County.

Grant applications may be for amounts up to $2,000.00. Funds must be matched on a minimum of 50/50 basis and are reimbursable upon completion of the job. In-kind services and/or materials may be considered as an application's match. Applications must be received by KBB no later than November 7, 2008. Grants will be awarded February 6, 2009 and projects must be completed by April 10, 2009.

A grants workshop will be conducted on October 6, 2008 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Agricultural Center at 3695 Lake Drive, in Cocoa, 32926. The workshop will provide guidance on the use of native plants and the application process. Applicants are strongly urged to attend the workshop.
